Rated 1 out of 5 by Rob from Purchased this online after my original DeWalt table saw burned in the Valley Fire. I really like. Purchased this online after my original DeWalt table saw burned in the Valley Fire. I really liked my DeWalt but the price on this was very good, it has wheels and the reviews on the rip fence were good. I unboxed it and tested the motor then didn't get around to using it for about six weeks. After all the good reviews on the rip fence I was very surprised and very bummed that the measuring rail was bolted on to the frame exactly one inch short at the factory. Luckily Ridgid has a ninety day return policy.

Home Depot stores do not stock this item so I couldn't exchange it They were out of the less expensive DeWalts so I got a worm-drive Skill Saw which I am very happy with. Rated 5 out of 5 by 100plusRidgidtools from Great buy for all beginners and pro's I have been a wood worker for over 20 years, and carpenter for 15.

I have used a variety of table saws. This table saw reminds me of the three bears. One table saw was too big, one table saw was too small but this table saw was just right. When I was searching for a new table saw I needed two things; clean precision cuts and light compact size/ weight.

Price is also a plus with this unit coming in nearly $150.00 lower then the competition. It's almost a no brainer. The saw seems to have as much power as the competition with being able to cut cleanly and quickly through the hardest of woods. The lifetime service agreement is a great insurance policy that will basically promise you repair if and when anything should go wrong. The only thing I would like is a rack and pinion fence adjuster but can live without it knowing I saved $150.00 along with having the ability to support materials up to 24'. In my professional opinion this saw is a well rounded middle ground that can bridge the gap between the novice and the professional with a price point that will be welcoming to your wallet. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT: The up-front price is good, but the long-term cost is that you will be buying a new saw within 2-3 years as Ridgid does not stand behind its Warranty. In the short-term, the Ridgid Compact Table Saw is okay for most cuts. There are some problems when attempting more careful cuts: 1) The orange plate that surrounds the blade does not sit flush with the rest of the table. If you use the saw to cut grooves into wood, the depth of the groove will not be uniform along the cut. 2) The extendable part of the table surface has a wobble to it, so the reading along the length scale is not accurate and must be checked at multiple points. 3) The fence has a wobble to it, so the distance from the blade is not uniform along its length and must be checked at multiple points. In the long-term (2 years even), I have found two problems: 1) The table surface degrades.

The saw is always stored inside, away from sun, and dry. Regardless, pits and grooves develop in the table as wood is run along it. Further, the material that is scraping off of the table adheres strongly to the wood that is run along it.

This means that each cut piece of wood requires sanding afterward to removed the table material. Pictures are attached. 2) Ridgid does not stand behind its product. The 'Lifetime Warranty' is a sham.

A quick timeline of my attempt to exercise the Warranty went as follows: I) Call Ridgid. Questioned multiple times about whether device still under Warranty (confirmed yes, it is). II) Told to bring saw to Home Depot with a service center, nearest of which is 40 minutes from my house. III) Upon arrival at Home Depot associate called Ridgid for clarification. Ridgid employee unable to assist because 'supervisors are not here on the weekend.' Working people will naturally bring their saw to a center on the weekend, yet no real assistance is available.

Told to myself call back on Monday as, in the words of Ridgid, it is not realistic to depend on Ridgid for a call back. IV) Home Depot employee and manager agree with my assessment of damage, print replacement part list and highlight part numbers. V) Ridgid reply after two more calls and emails (with pictures): 'I was told to tell you: Spray it with a degreaser, let soak, wipe clean.' No reply to my further concern that there are physical grooves in the table. VI) Sparing any further details, the net effect is that the degreaser was a temporary solution that did not address the full issue and also stopped working. I even went so far as to offer that Ridgid simply send me the parts and I fix it myself, a marginal cost for Ridgid.

Ridgid has stopped replying. All Ridgid products come with a 3-year Warranty which becomes lifetime if registered when purchased.

I forgot to register, and despite my original receipt, Ridgid will not allow me to do so. I am still inside of the 3-year Warranty, and I believe that Ridgid is stalling so that they can finally respond, 'Sorry, but you are out of the warranty period.' Again, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT: The up-front price is good, but the long-term cost is that you will be buying a new saw within 2-3 years as Ridgid does not stand behind its Warranty. Jewel of atlantis deluxe keygen idm. Rated 1 out of 5 by Kurtis from cheaply made and it shows bought about a year and a half ago, use about 12 hours per week. First the blade adjustment knob broke off, as well as blade doesn't go to max depth without cleaning the rails.

Then had to remove blade guard underneath unit because it clogs up with sawdust within 10 cuts. Third, engine recently gave out on me. 12 month warranty, my saw lasted 16 months. Used about 900 hrs before dieing. Tried to contact ridged multiple times with no response. Should have bought a Bosch, dewault or makita, very disappointed in rigid. I've used this saw for almost 2 years now and this is actually a very nice saw for this price range. It comes with a big table which extends and can make cuts up to 24 inches. The fence slides easily and it's usually accurate but I always measure from the front and back of the blade just to be sure.

This miter gauge is also pretty accurate. The motor is very powerful, although it does not have a soft start feature so there is a big kick when you first start it. The wheels make it easy to transport to a jobsite. My main complaint is that the mechanism which raises and lowers the blade broke after a few months of use.

I always used to lower the blade at the end of each day or when I was done using the saw but now I am forced to leave it up all the time. 99% of the wood I cut is either 5/8' or 3/4' thick so it's no big deal for me to just leave it on the same blade height setting but if you need to raise and lower the blade a lot then maybe I would look for a different saw because it's definitely the weak point on this saw.
