Comcast Wireless Internet Drivers

I just upgraded an HP Pavilion desktop from windows XP to windows 7 there is no connectivity at all it seems the light has even gone out on the ethernet card in the PC. Comcast ran a system check from there end saw that there was nothing wrong with my card but the lights aren't on, on the ethernet card. When I run the trouble shooter to search for issues or problems associated with the card and the internet it states the are no problems found?

Aug 13, 2015. Lots of inexpensive USB wifi adapters available. The one I've used are as easy as plug it in and install the driver. A list of available networks should pop up. Click on your network and put in your username and password and you're connected. Re: NEED to download Comcast.net software. There is no software needed from Comcast to connect to the Comcast HSI service. The CD that some installers use just 'brands' your copy of Internet Explorer with the Comcast name. It doesn't do anything useful. With a fresh Windows installation, you should.

But the network sharing area shows no internet activity available? Can someone tell why a hardwire ethernet cable modem is not getting the lights to come on on the network card or no connectivity from in the computer? Need all the steps to set this computer up to the internet ran set up network wizard many times no luck uninstalled the drivers many times also no luck no changes either.
