Help Pleeeaaasseee!!! I have a Sports Autority Body Fit BF-1276 recumbent exercise bike and need help assembling it. Although the back tub(where the seat is) fits inside the front tube (where the pedals are), it just won't slide farther in to get the seat closer to the pedals.
There's a knob that you lift that is used to lock the the back tube/seat in position and is secured by a bolt inside the front tube. So, when you life that knob and try to slide the back part closer to the pedals it can't get past that bolt to slide in farther to bring the seat closer to the pedals. The back tube will slide in about 3 inches and then the bolt prevents it from sliding further. Anyone have any ideas? 4 Answers SOURCE: Unfortunately, it's the scale, but it's not broken. It simply is telling you inaccurate information. Some scales utilize Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) technology. BIA uses very low levels of electrical impulses running from one metal contact point/lead to another. Your body acts as the connector between the two contact points, thus completing the circuit. Not all scales use this means for calculating body fat percentage due to poor reliability and high fabrication costs.This method of measurement requires very large contact points, as well as clean and moist skin exposure.
