. 3 Answers SOURCE: For a 1999 Ford Econoline 150 (assume the same or very similar), remove triangular plastic cover over mirror assembly by prying straight out, remove plastic door handle cover by prying up from the front side, remove electronic door switches by prying up from back side, remove round plastic cover at bottom rear of door panel. Four screws are now revealed, remove them. Lift door panel straight up, clips are hooks (not snap in). Work door switch assembly out of door panel. Set door panel aside.

255 Answers SOURCE: You should obtain a tool made specifically for removing door panels. They are attached by 'snap' connectors, and by pulling on the door panel itself will invariably ruin it.
Get the tool from a parts place and carefully peer into the slot between the door metal and the door panel. Use the tool slowly with resolution. You should really acquire a manual that guides you for your particular Jag.
Remember, to take the panel completely off, you need to remove the door handle. Look for a plug that has a screw under it. You'll need to pop the door window/lock control panel too, to access screws under there.

Use a flat blade screwdriver or other suitable tool to pry out on the top of the triangular plastic panel on the top front of the door panel. The plastic holder should pull out of the door. Now pry up on both sides of the triangular panel and pull it loose. Remove the philips head screw you find under this panel.
Pull the door latch handle, pry out the insert where the handle goes through, and remove the bolt that holds the door handle in place. Remove the door handle. Pry up on the ends of the door switch panel to remove it. Unplug the cables by pushing in on the lock tab on the side of the plug and pulling out. Remove the philips head screw accessible through the switch panel hole.
Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot at the bottom of the courtesy light lens and pry up and out to remove the lens. Remove the philips head screw behind this lens. Pull up on the door panel to remove it. Be careful of the courtesy light when removing the panel - give the light a quarter turn counter-clockwise from the rear to remove it from the door panel. Its possible that this can helpfull as reference.
Hope this help. Apr 22, 2010. Ford usually fitted elliptical speakers in their models in the 1990's so it's possible that yours are 6'x9' or something similar. You can get replacements from Ford, (which are usually very expensive!) or buy some better ones on the Internet, such as Ebay or Amazon. I bought a pair of German Blaupunkt 6x9's for my car from some site I found on Ebay and the price was around half of that to buy the.same. speakers from Ford Spare parts Dep't!!! The sound is fantastic!
PS: You should be able to access the rear speakers below the rear parcel shelf at each side of your Expedition. They are held in place by 4 screws, which usually have a Posidriv (+) type screwdriver head. When refitting, make sure!!! That you fix the +ve spade terminal to the +ve marked on your new speaker & the -ve terminal to the -ve. Do this on both speakers to make sure that they are both in-phase (so both bass drive units are pushing air forwards together). If you don't keep them in phase, the speakers will produce much less bass - which is clearly noticable!

Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-05.
Front Door Trim Panel —Expedition Removal and Installation NOTE: Left front door shown, right front similar. Remove the door handle bezel. Use service notch.
Remove the window control switch plate. Use service notch and disconnect the electrical connectors.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the door trim panel, lift the door trim panel by pulling directly upward on the armrest to disengage the panel clips. Remove the two bolts and three screws, and remove the door trim panel.
Remove the weather shield. Disconnect the exterior mirror electrical connector. Remove the exterior mirror.
Remove the nuts. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install top nut first.
Exterior Mirror Motor Removal and Installation. Position the mirror glass to obtain a gap at the top edge of the mirror and carefully pull the top edge of the glass away from the mirror housing. Disconnect the heated mirror electrical connectors.
